The 4H

01

Head

Head comes first because everything starts mentally. This pillar focuses on lacrosse IQ, discipline, and preparation. Players are expected to know their assignments, understand game situations (time, score, etc.), and make smart decisions under pressure. Mistakes resulting from a lack of preparation are unacceptable.

Heart represents passion, resilience, and mental toughness. Nazareth Lacrosse values competitors who genuinely care about the team and continue to fight through adversity. Heart is most evident when challenges arise and effort is put to the test.

03

Hustle

Hustle means relentless, consistent effort. It includes sprinting on and off the field (especially during substitutions), finishing every play, practicing with urgency, and refusing to take shortcuts. Hustle is fully controllable and non-negotiable, regardless of role or circumstance.

Humility keeps the team grounded. It emphasizes being coachable, accountable, and maintaining a team-first mindset. Every player has a role, and no role is more important than another. Players must accept feedback, take ownership of mistakes, respect their role, and prioritize team success over individual recognition.
